Call for Expressions of Interest & Nominations

President – ICF South Africa Charter Chapter NPC

The Interim Nominations Committee (NomCom) is pleased to invite nominations and expressions of interest for the position of President of South Africa Chapter of ICF. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and visionary leader to help shape the future of our Chapter and contribute to the continued advancement of the coaching profession in South Africa.

As the Chapter continues its journey towards strengthened governance and organisational maturity, we are seeking a President who will provide strategic leadership, foster collaboration, champion ethical governance, and work alongside the Board to deliver meaningful value to our members and stakeholders.

We welcome expressions of interest from members who demonstrate:

  • Strategic and visionary leadership
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Strong governance awareness and sound judgement
  • The ability to inspire, influence and build collaborative relationships
  • A commitment to member value and professional excellence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to lead organisational growth and positive change
  • A commitment to the ICF Core Values and Code of Ethics

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements contained in the current South Africa Chapter of ICF governing documents, including:

  • ICF membership in good standing
  • An active ICF credential
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the ICF ecosystem and its governance environment
  • Eligibility to serve as a Director of the ICF South Africa NPC

Applications may be submitted through either of the following:

Self-Nomination (Expression of Interest)
Eligible members may submit their own application.

Peer Nomination
Members may nominate another eligible member. Nominees will be required to formally accept the nomination before it is considered by NomCom.

Applications must include:

  • A current professional Curriculum Vitae.
  • A Leadership Vision Statement (maximum two pages) outlining:
    • your vision for ICF South Africa over the next two years;
    • your leadership philosophy;
    • how you would advance the Chapter’s strategic priorities;
    • your approach to governance, member value and organisational sustainability.
  • Confirmation of ICF membership in good standing.

Applications must be submitted via the official NomCom online application form.

Following the closing date, the Interim NomCom will:

  • Verify candidate eligibility.
  • Review all applications against the approved requirements and leadership competencies.
  • Conduct interviews where appropriate.
  • Finalise eligible candidates.
  • Facilitate the election process in accordance with the current ICF South Africa governing documents.

The process will be conducted in accordance with the principles of fairness, transparency, integrity, confidentiality and the appropriate management of conflicts of interest.

The South African Chapter of the International Coaching Federation (SA ICF South) is seeking a passionate and strategic leader to serve as our Executive Officer | Membership.

This is an exciting volunteer leadership opportunity for someone who believes that strong communities create stronger coaches. You’ll lead the Chapter’s membership portfolio, helping to attract, engage and retain members while creating meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration and professional growth.

  • Develop and implement the Chapter’s Membership Strategy.
  • Champion an outstanding member experience from onboarding through ongoing engagement.
  • Grow and strengthen our coaching community through innovative initiatives.
  • Recruit, develop and support volunteers.
  • Use member insights and data to continually improve value and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Chapter Leaders to deliver a connected member journey.
  • Is an ICF Member in good standing and affiliated with the SA ICF.
  • Is passionate about serving the coaching profession.
  • Has the ability to think strategically while building meaningful relationships.
  • Enjoys bringing people together and creating engaging member experiences.
  • Is collaborative, organised and committed to ethical leadership.

Term: Two years
Time Commitment: Approximately 15–20 hours per month, plus Chapter meetings, Board meetings (where applicable), and Chapter events.

Executive Officer | Marketing & Communications

Bring our Chapter to life through inspiring communications, memorable events, and meaningful member engagement.

The South African Chapter of the International Coaching Federation (SA ICF) is looking for a creative, organised, and collaborative leader to join our Chapter Leadership Team as Executive Officer: Marketing & Communications.

Working in partnership with the Director: Marketing & Communications, you’ll play a key role in bringing the Chapter’s strategy to life—coordinating marketing campaigns, delivering engaging member communications, and creating exceptional experiences that strengthen our coaching community.

  • Coordinate the delivery of marketing and communication campaigns across digital and member channels.
  • Manage newsletters, social media scheduling, and content distribution.
  • Coordinate webinars, Chapter Connects, networking events, and other member initiatives.
  • Support speaker coordination, registrations, event logistics, and attendee communications.
  • Manage campaign timelines, project plans, and workflow tracking.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and volunteers to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Help create engaging, professional experiences that connect and inspire our members.
  • Is passionate about marketing, communications, and community engagement.
  • Is highly organised and enjoys coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Has excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, volunteer-led environment.

Executive Officer | Sponsorships & Advertising

Help grow our Chapter’s impact by building meaningful partnerships and creating sustainable opportunities for the coaching community.

The South African Chapter of the International Coaching Federation (SA ICF) is seeking a relationship-focused, commercially minded leader to join our Chapter Leadership Team as Executive Officer: Sponsorships & Advertising.

Reporting to the Deputy President, you will lead the Chapter’s sponsorship, advertising, and partnership portfolio, building strategic relationships that enhance member value while supporting the Chapter’s long-term sustainability.

  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with sponsors and strategic partners.
  • Manage sponsorships from initial engagement through to renewal.
  • Ensure all sponsorship benefits and brand visibility commitments are delivered professionally.
  • Coordinate advertising opportunities across newsletters, email campaigns, the website, and social media.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Chapter Leaders to identify opportunities for joint initiatives and events.
  • Coordinate sponsor branding and engagement at Chapter events.
  • Maintain sponsorship records, agreements, and performance reporting.
  • Enjoys building authentic, long-term business relationships.
  • Has experience in sponsorship, partnerships, business development, sales, or account management.
  • Is confident engaging with corporate stakeholders and external partners.
  • Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.

Shape the Future of Our Governance

Call for Independent Nominations Committee (NomCom) Members

We are actively expanding our Nominations Committee (NomCom) and are inviting expressions of interest for independent committee members, this is support our chapters ongoing transition to a strategic governing board model. True institutional maturity requires absolute objectivity, transparency, and independence within our governance structures.

  • NomCom holds a crucial governance mandate: it is independently empowered to oversee, design, and run all recruitment, election, and appointment processes for Chapter Leaders and Directors. To safeguard our objectivity during upcoming high-profile elections, we are recruiting additional independent member representatives who sit completely outside of current operational board roles.

  • Independence is the absolute benchmark for this role. We are looking for members who possess:

    • No current operational conflicts of interest or dual portfolio duties within the active Chapter leadership.
    • A strong commitment to ethical frameworks, professional standards, and procedural fairness.
    • Prior experience or interest in governance, human resource placement, legal compliance, or institutional oversight (advantageous but not mandatory).

Appointed members will immediately join the committee to oversee the vetting and administration of the upcoming 2026 Presidential election pipeline and subsequent Executive Officer placements. This is a high-impact, non-executive volunteer role that directly protects the operational continuity and integrity of our Chapter.
